About Inna
Inna Materese grew up interested in how people tell their stories to one another and how those stories matter in public life. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Political Science from the University of Florida in 2009. She went on to law school at Temple University, receiving her J.D. in 2012. Those years framed her path into law and into work that centers on families and children.
After law school she established a practice in Pennsylvania. She is active in the local legal community and serves in roles that connect practice and professional education. She has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute faculty, teaching courses for other lawyers. She has been involved in the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Family Law Section since at least 2014, and she has served as its secretary. Her peers also elected her to leadership in the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court, where she was president from 2014 until 2022.
Materese holds certifications that are directly tied to family dispute resolution. Montgomery County recognizes her as a family law mediator and as a parenting coordinator. She accepts appointments and private matters in both capacities. Her work in mediation involves helping parents resolve custody and visitation issues outside the courtroom. As a parenting coordinator she oversees agreed parenting plans and helps families address ongoing conflicts about day-to-day co-parenting decisions.
Her involvement in continuing legal education shapes other parts of her work. Teaching for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute keeps her engaged with current developments in family law and procedural practice. The classroom also gives her a platform to share practical approaches to mediation and to parenting coordination. Those roles, combined with the leadership positions she has held in local bar groups, position her as a practitioner who moves between practice, education, and court-connected dispute resolution.
Materese Family Law is the office through which she practices today. The firm handles family law matters, including divorce-related issues, custody and visitation, and dispute resolution services such as mediation and parenting coordination. She appears both as a neutral in settlement processes and as counsel when parties pursue negotiated or litigated outcomes.
She currently practices at Materese Family Law, handling family law cases and providing mediation and parenting coordination services in Pennsylvania.
