About Ian R.

Ian R. Alexander is an attorney who built his legal foundation through study in the United States and abroad. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1992 and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law in 1995. His education also includes time at London Metropolitan University, an experience that broadened his perspective before he entered practice.

Alexander’s career has included admission to practice in both Illinois and Arizona. He is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and is a member of the Federal Trial Bar. Those credentials have allowed him to handle matters in state and federal forums throughout his career. He joined the Law Offices of Goldberg & Goldberg, where he carries out trial and litigation responsibilities alongside colleagues at the firm.

Professional engagement has been a steady part of Alexander’s work. He became a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice in 1996, and those affiliations have continued. In 1998 he became a Fellow of The Roscoe Pound Foundation, a role he retains. These memberships place him among practitioners who regularly exchange developments in trial advocacy and procedural law.

Colleagues describe Alexander as practical in court and deliberate in preparation. He draws on experience in federal and state court procedure to present cases, manage discovery, and advance motions when necessary. He has worked on matters that require familiarity with both local rules and broader federal practice, relying on the admissions and bar memberships that permit him to proceed in multiple jurisdictions.

At the Law Offices of Goldberg & Goldberg, Alexander handles litigated matters and trial-related work. He represents clients in state and federal court proceedings and manages the tasks that come with pretrial preparation, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial matters. His current practice handles litigation across the jurisdictions to which he is admitted.
