About Hunter G

Hunter G Jeffers built his legal foundation at the University of Washington. He earned a B.A. in Economics in 2011, then returned to the same campus for law school, receiving his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2014. His time in school combined classroom study with hands-on research and practical roles that shaped the first years of his career.

While still a student he worked as a research assistant for Dean Kellye Testy in 2012. The next summer he joined Mills Meyers Swartling P.S. as a summer associate. In 2013 he spent time in the federal courthouse as a Rule 9 law clerk for the Hon. Robert J. Bryan in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Those experiences gave him a close view of federal practice and the day-to-day work of a trial court.

After finishing law school he returned to Mills Meyers Swartling P.S. as a lawyer in 2014. His resume shows an early and steady move into firm practice. He has spent his professional years operating inside an established regional firm environment and inside the federal courthouse where he previously clerked. That mix of firm and clerkship work has shaped the kinds of matters he handles.

Outside the office, Jeffers has been active in civic and professional organizations. He has held membership in the King County Bar Association since 2015 and has served on the board of the Burke Museum beginning in 2015. He also joined the board of the Rotary Boys & Girls Club in 2014 and serves as secretary. Those roles indicate an interest in institutional governance and community-serving organizations.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who values preparation and courtroom experience. His early clerkship and subsequent firm years point to steady exposure to litigation practice and courtroom procedures. He has applied that background to advising clients and handling matters in state and federal settings.

Jeffers continues to practice law at Mills Meyers Swartling P.S. in Washington. He concentrates his practice on matters that arise in Washington courts and the federal courts serving the state, drawing on both his firm experience and his time in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
