Howard Peritz graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He earned his J.D. there and began a legal career that has stayed rooted in Illinois. His education provided the foundation for decades in private practice and firm management.
He entered private practice as a senior associate in 1988 at Levine Shifrin & Associates. The role exposed him to the day-to-day demands of trial preparation, client counseling and case management. Four years later he struck out on his own, founding a practice under his own name in 1992.
