About Debbie
Debbie Cohen trained as a communicator before she trained as a lawyer. She earned a B.A. in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1996. Three years later she entered Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology and completed her J.D. in 2000.
Her early years after law school were spent building a courtroom and office practice in Illinois. She has worked on a mix of matters that required both written advocacy and client counseling. Over time she developed familiarity with state court procedures and the practical demands of representing individuals and small organizations.
