About Henry M
Henry M Sneath has spent four decades in courtrooms and conference rooms across Pennsylvania. He brings a steady, procedural approach to litigation work and dispute resolution. Colleagues describe him as methodical; clients have relied on him in both intellectual property and commercial matters.
He earned a J.D. from Duquesne University in 1980 after completing a B.A. in English and Economics at Hamilton College in 1976. Later in his career he pursued advanced study at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation, completing programs in complex negotiation, mediation, alternate dispute resolution and arbitration. That mix of traditional legal training and formal negotiation study has informed how he prepares cases and how he approaches settlement discussions.
Sneath’s career has moved through several Pennsylvania firms. In 1988 he was a partner at Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek and Eck. A decade later he became a partner at Doepken, Keevican and Weiss in 1998. In 2002 he helped form Picadio Sneath Miller & Norton, P.C., serving as a shareholder and principal. In 2018 he joined Houston Harbaugh, P.C. as a shareholder and director, a role he holds today. Those positions reflect long-term practice at firms handling civil litigation and intellectual property cases in state and federal courts.
Sneath is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and in the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania State Bar, the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and has been involved in national defense organizations; his résumé lists service in the Association of Defense Trial Lawyers beginning in 2012 and a leadership term at DRI from 2011 to 2012.
Recognition on ratings platforms appears on his résumé. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, is listed in Best Lawyers in America, has been included among Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, and has a 10/10 Superb rating on Avvo. He is also identified as a Fellow of the Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Over the years his work has combined trial practice, appellate work and alternative dispute resolution. He handles matters in federal and state tribunals and participates in mediations and arbitrations when cases require it. He currently practices at Houston Harbaugh, P.C., where his work centers on intellectual property and commercial litigation, including trial and defense matters.
