About Heather E.

Heather E. Fox followed a steady, traditional path into law. She earned a B.A. in English from Liberty University in 2016 and completed her Juris Doctor at Liberty University School of Law in 2020. Those years shaped both her analytical habits and her interest in courtroom procedure. She left law school prepared to learn on the job and to take on a range of assignments early in her career.

Her practical training began while she was still a student. In 2018 she worked as a law clerk in the Iredell County District Lawyer s Office, and she spent 2019 clerking for Osterbind Law, PLLC. Those positions exposed her to the daily work of litigators and local prosecutors, and they gave her early experience in drafting pleadings, researching legal issues, and preparing materials for court appearances. After graduation she joined King Law Offices as a senior associate in 2020, where she handled a heavier docket and took on client-facing responsibilities.

Fox moved from associate to firm founder in a relatively short time. In 2022 she became a founding partner of Morris & Fox, Lawyers at Law, PLLC. Building a practice required shifting from casework to firm management. She has overseen case intake, coordinated with co-counsel, and managed the administrative tasks that keep a small firm running. Her colleagues describe her work style as methodical and pragmatic; she tends to focus on clarity in legal writing and on preparing issues thoroughly before court dates.

Her career so far has combined public-sector experience and private practice. The early clerkships offered direct exposure to courtroom rhythm and prosecutorial workflows. Her time as a senior associate expanded her responsibilities to include client counseling and courtroom appearances. At Morris & Fox she brings those strands together, applying courtroom experience alongside daily client representation and case strategy.

Clients and fellow lawyers who have worked with Fox note her steady approach to cases and attention to procedural detail. She maintains an active license in North Carolina and practices from the firm she helped create. Her current practice focuses on matters in North Carolina.
