About Haytham
Haytham Faraj built his legal foundation at The Citadel, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1995. He went on to study law at American University Washington College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. In 2009 he attended the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College, a program known for intensive trial training. Those years shaped both his courtroom technique and his approach to client advocacy.
Faraj moved quickly from law school into military service. In 2005 he served as Senior Defense Counsel for the United States Marine Corps. That role placed him at the center of military justice matters and trial preparation. The work demanded rapid case assessment, litigation strategy, and frequent courtroom appearances. It also gave him experience handling high-pressure litigation environments early in his career.
After active duty, he entered private practice. By 2008 he was a partner at Puckett & Faraj, PC, where he handled a range of matters that required litigation skills and client counseling. Four years later he launched his own firm. In 2012 he founded The Law Offices of Haytham Faraj, PLLC, opening a practice built on trial experience and a military background in defense work.
Faraj is admitted to practice in Michigan, Illinois, California, and the District of Columbia. He combines those admissions with the trial training he received in 2009. Clients and colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and methodical in case preparation. He tends to favor thorough preparation over courtroom theatrics. His background in military defense work continues to inform how he approaches investigations, witness preparation, and jury strategy.
He maintains a small firm model that emphasizes direct attorney involvement in cases. The office administrative details are handled to keep the attorney-client relationship central and to ensure continuity from intake through trial. He has practiced across multiple jurisdictions since founding his firm and continues to try cases when the facts and stakes require it. His current practice centers on litigation and trial work across the jurisdictions in which he is admitted.
