About Harry James
Harry James Forrest earned a foundation in two fields that often intersect in legal work. He completed undergraduate studies at the State University of New York College at Brockport, majoring in criminal justice and psychology. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo Law School in 1999, completing his formal legal education at the end of the decade.
After law school he established his practice base in New York. He is licensed to practice in that jurisdiction. Over the years he has joined local and statewide professional groups that focus on trial work and the local bar. His memberships include the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Erie County Bar Association. He has also maintained membership in professional organizations since 2000.
Forrest serves as an attorney at Gross Shuman P.C. His role at the firm centers on representing clients out of that office. He brings the perspective of someone trained in criminal justice and psychology to his daily work, and he applies the legal training he received at SUNY Buffalo Law School to cases handled through the firm. He works on matters arising under New York law and coordinates with colleagues at Gross Shuman P.C.
Within the bar community he has kept active connections to trial lawyer networks and the county bar association. Those affiliations reflect a sustained engagement with peers and with the procedural side of litigation practice. He continues to practice law at Gross Shuman P.C., handling matters in New York.
