About Harry Case
Harry Case Stansbury built a layered academic foundation before stepping into public service. He earned a B.S. from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, took his law degree at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, completed an MBA through Louisiana State University - University of New Orleans, and added an M.S. in Computer Technology from Columbia University. The mix of law, business and technology sets a different tone for the work he would later take on.
His first significant public role came in 1975, when he served as Deputy Commissioner of Securities for the State of Louisiana. That early regulatory experience gave him direct exposure to enforcement, licensing and rulemaking. It also placed him at the intersection of government oversight and market activity during a time of evolving state securities regulation.
After public service he continued to practice in areas tied to corporate and securities law. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana, New York and the District of Columbia, maintaining multi-jurisdictional ties that reflect both regional and national work. Over the years he has combined his legal training with business and technical studies to advise on transactional and compliance matters where securities and corporate responsibilities overlap.
Stansbury holds a current Of Counsel role at Reasonover & Berg, LLC. In that capacity he advises on regulatory questions, corporate governance and securities-related disputes and filings. His resume also lists ongoing involvement with regulatory organizations and bar groups that focus on securities administration and corporate law.
He participates actively in bar and industry organizations. He serves as Chair of the Corporations Committee of the New Orleans Bar Association. He also holds memberships in the North American Securities Administrators Association, the ABA-ALI Federal Securities Code Liaison Committee, the Midwest Securities Administrators Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of New York and the District of Columbia Bar Association. Those ties point to sustained engagement with rule development and the professional networks that shape enforcement and policy.
Colleagues and clients have noted the practical value of someone who combines technical training with regulatory know-how. His Columbia degree in computer technology, paired with an MBA, allows him to address matters that touch both corporate management and technical systems in a way that many purely legal backgrounds do not. He continues to consult, litigate and advise in matters that involve securities regulation, corporate governance and compliance.
He currently practices as Of Counsel at Reasonover & Berg, LLC, focusing on securities regulation, corporate governance and related compliance matters.
