About Harrison
Harrison Barrow built his legal foundation in two American law schools. He earned an A.L.B. from Harvard University in 2006 and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2010, where he also completed a Criminal Litigation Certificate. Those credentials shaped an early interest in defense work and courtroom practice.
His practical training began while he was still in school. In 2008 he worked as a legal intern at the Law Offices of Chicago-Kent. The following year he served as a law clerk for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office on the Homicide Task Force. An earlier clerkship in 2002 lists him as a law clerk at Harrison Barrow, Lawyer at Law, a role that appears to predate his J.D. and suggests long-standing exposure to client work.
After graduating in 2010 he began practicing under the name Harrison T. Barrow III, Lawyer at Law. Over the years he has taken on cases across trial courts and worked through the procedural and evidentiary challenges that come with criminal and family-related matters. He holds multiple panel certifications from the Committee for Public Counsel Services: District Court, Superior Court, and Child and Family Law. Those certifications allow him to accept appointed work in a range of court settings.
Barrow also maintains formal ties to the legal community through several associations. He has been a member of the Massachusetts State Bar since 2010, the Massachusetts Bar Association since 2012, and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2013. He also lists membership in the American Bar Association and the Barnstable County Bar Advocates.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe his courtroom manner as direct. He prepares written motions and trial strategies, manages evidentiary hearings and represents clients in both criminal and family court dockets. His litigation background from law school and early clerkships informs that work. The panel certifications reflect experience handling appointed cases at different levels of the state system.
He practices in Massachusetts and has handled matters across district and superior courts. He balances courtroom appearances with client meetings and case preparation. His current practice centers on criminal defense and child and family law matters in Massachusetts courts.
