About Harold E
Harold E Weiser built his legal foundation at Loyola University New Orleans, where he studied political science and history before continuing at the same school to earn his juris doctor in 2006. His academic path included coursework in international law through the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and later training at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Trial College. Those experiences shaped his early approach to courtroom work and to disputes that cross jurisdictions.
He launched his practice in 2009 and has operated under the Weiser Law Office name since then. Over the years he has handled matters in both state and federal forums. His admissions include the State of Louisiana and federal listings that extend to the Fifth Circuit, the Northern District of Illinois, the Southern District of Texas and the United States Tax Court. Those credentials allow him to appear in a range of trial and appellate settings.
Weiser’s preparation includes formal certification in international law and intensive trial training. The Trial College program is known for its practical focus on jury selection, evidentiary strategy and witness examination. He brings that training into courtrooms where live testimony and contested hearings are routine. His work has required attention to procedural detail in federal practice and an understanding of how tax and criminal matters can intersect.
Professional associations form a steady part of his career. He holds memberships in the American Bar Association and the New Orleans Bar Association. He has been active in the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2009. He is also an alumnus member of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. These connections have anchored his continuing legal education and peer network.
Clients and colleagues describe him as someone who prepares for trial and for hearings with the same level of attention. He has taken cases to various federal tribunals and state courts, and he handles pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings and appellate briefing when necessary. He also handles matters that involve tax litigation in the specialized procedures of the United States Tax Court.
Today he practices out of the Weiser Law Office, where he represents clients in criminal defense and related federal and state litigation, including tax-related matters and appeals. His current practice concentrates on litigation across the courts to which he is admitted.
