Hansen Peter Reed is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Reed is a partner at Walker & Reed, P.C., a law firm located in Monterey, California. He has been practicing law for over 28 years, serving clients throughout Monterey and Santa Clara Counties.
Mr. Reed earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Monterey College of Law in 1996, where he completed an internship with the Monterey County Superior Court in 1995. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Washington, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991. During his time at the University of Washington, he served as a staff assistant for then Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, The Honorable Thomas S. Foley.
Mr. Reed concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, corporate law, franchise law, real estate, estate planning, probate, and trust administration. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving commercial real estate transactions, business formations, franchise agreements, and estate planning. His practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including negotiations, litigation, and trust administration.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reed has handled cases in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of Monterey and the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as general counsel for Gloria Jean's Gourmet Coffees and Coffee People, Inc. from 1997 to 2001.
Mr. Reed is an active member of the Monterey County Bar Association and the State Bar of California. He is also involved in community organizations, serving as a member of The Rotary Club of Monterey, the President of the MPC Foundation, a member of the Planning Commission for the City of Monterey, and a member of the Central Coast YMCA.
