Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Chico, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Law in 1992. During his time at CSU Chico, he was recognized as a Moot Court Champion, demonstrating his aptitude for legal analysis and advocacy.
