About Hank
Hank Stout grew up interested in business and law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Mississippi in 1997. He stayed on the legal path and received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2001.
After law school he moved into private practice. His early years were spent at Phelps Dunbar, LLP, where he began in 2003. He then worked for Godwin Pappas in 2005 before joining Chamberlain Hardlicka in 2006. Each of those positions exposed him to the day-to-day demands of litigation and client service.
In 2008 Stout joined Sutliff & Stout, PLLC. That step marked a shift toward plaintiff-side work and injury litigation. He has practiced under the Sutliff & Stout banner since then, operating in an environment that emphasizes case preparation and courtroom readiness. His resume lists roles titled simply as lawyer, but the record shows steady progression through litigation teams at multiple firms.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic. He prefers straightforward strategies and clear communication with clients. He prepares cases for trial and handles settlement negotiations. His work tends to involve typical elements of injury and accident matters: medical records, expert reports, witness statements and discussions with insurers.
Stout’s academic background in business informs how he approaches damage calculations and settlement analysis. A business degree followed by law school gives him a practical view of the economic consequences of injury claims. He applies that perspective when assessing full case value and advising clients about potential outcomes.
Outside of the office he keeps a low profile. He does not seek the spotlight. Instead he focuses on casework and client contact. He currently practices at Sutliff & Stout Injury & Accident Law Office, where he handles personal injury and accident cases.
