Ms. Naimi earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School in 1998. She furthered her legal education by obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2005. Prior to her legal studies, she completed a Master of Arts in Economics at Georgetown University in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Applied Science and Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1993. She has also appeared before the United States Tax Court. Her career includes serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Arthur M. Greenwald in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California from 1998 to 1999 and as an associate at Kaye Scholer from 2000 to 2004 and Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley, LLP from 2005 to 2006.
Ms. Naimi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the California State Bar Taxation Section, where she served on the Executive Committee from 2012 to 2015 and as Chair of the Corporate and Pass-Through Entities Section from 2011 to 2012. She is also a member of the Bankruptcy Workouts Committee of the American Bar Association's Taxation Section. Her contributions to the legal community include presenting tax policy proposals to decision-makers at the Treasury Department, the Office of Chief Counsel at the IRS, the House Ways and Means Committee, the Joint Committee on Taxation, and the Senate Finance Committee in Washington D.C., as well as to officials at the Franchise Tax Board in Sacramento.
