About Haig M.

Haig M. Sakoian earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2007 after completing undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University at University Park in 2004. At Penn State he studied Management Science, Information Systems and International Business French, a mix that combined quantitative training with language and cross-border business exposure. The law school curriculum that followed sharpened his legal reasoning and prepared him for work in both state and federal courts.

After law school, Sakoian moved into private practice. He served as an associate at Blumling & Gusky, LLP, where he was part of a firm setting. That role gave him day-to-day experience representing clients, handling filings and working with more senior lawyers to prepare cases and transactions. He later joined DFL Legal as an associate, continuing the work of advising clients and handling matters for the firm.

Sakoian is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. He also holds admissions in federal tribunal settings: the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those admissions expand the venues where he may file matters and represent clients, including both trial-level federal litigation and appellate practice within the Third Circuit.

His membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar keeps him connected to the professional community. That involvement provides access to continuing legal education and peer networks that are commonly useful for attorneys working on multi-jurisdictional or technically complex matters. Colleagues describe him as methodical in file preparation and attentive to procedural requirements, qualities that are valued when cases proceed in court.

Across his positions at Blumling & Gusky and at DFL Legal, Sakoian has worked on matters that require attention to procedural detail and clear client communication. He has experience drafting court filings, conducting legal research, and participating in pretrial preparations. He has also handled routine client counseling tasks that arise in the course of representation, relying on his earlier business and information-systems training when issues touch on commercial or technical questions.

He currently practices at DFL Legal, handling matters in Pennsylvania and in the federal courts where he is admitted.
