About Gregory Lyle
Gregory Lyle Singleton grew up intellectually curious and stayed that way through a long educational path. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 1997 and later returned to school for law, receiving his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2013. Those two degrees bookend a period that led him into practice in Minneapolis and into several court admissions that shape his work today.
His early legal roles began in firm settings. Records show he served as an associate lawyer at Eckland & Blando, LLP in 2012. He later joined Parker Daniels Kibort as an associate in 2017, then moved to Fitch Johnson Larsen & Held P.A. in 2018. In 2019 he opened his own practice, Signature Law, PLLC, where he is listed as owner and lawyer. That progression — from associate roles at established firms to running a small practice — has given him both courtroom and client-side experience.
Singleton is admitted to practice in Minnesota, before the Eighth Circuit, and in the United States Tax Court. Those admissions reflect a practice that intersects state-level trust and estate concerns and federal tax questions. His work includes elder law matters, estate planning and probate, guardianship cases, and tax disputes. He represents individuals and families as they sort through complex paperwork and contested administrative or judicial matters. He also appears in tax proceedings when disagreements extend into federal forums.
Beyond private practice, he has maintained steady involvement in professional and community organizations. He has been a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association since 2013. He serves as a volunteer investigator on the 4th District Ethics Committee, a role he has held since 2014. More recently he joined the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in 2022. He also sits on the board of Tools for Teens, a nonprofit engagement that began in 2019 and continues alongside his legal work.
At Signature Law, PLLC, he manages a small practice that handles both transactional matters and contested cases. His career blends litigation experience from firm work with the case management and client counseling that come from running an independent office. He concentrates his practice on elder law, estate planning, probate, and tax matters.
