About Gregory G

Gregory G Phillips graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1978. He built a practice rooted in courtroom work and courtroom procedure. Over four decades he has balanced trial work, client counseling and teaching.

After law school he entered private practice and eventually founded the Law Office of Gregory Phillips. He serves as the firm's principal and has maintained an active practice in California and in federal courts. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District and the Southern District, as well as the California state bar.

Phillips has long combined litigation and instruction. He has represented clients in civil matters across state and federal forums. He regularly handles cases that require court appearances, motion practice and preparation for trial. He also participates in matters that intersect with consumer protection and other civil litigation areas, reflecting his memberships in several local and regional bar organizations.

Teaching is a constant in his professional life. He is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University School of Law and an instructor at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He also teaches at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Academy, providing training that connects legal principles to law enforcement practice. Those roles keep him engaged with students, junior lawyers and public safety personnel.

His professional affiliations include the California State Bar, the Ventura County Bar Association, the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and the Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity. He has used those networks to stay current on practice developments and to contribute to continuing legal education offerings in the region.

Colleagues describe Phillips as steady and pragmatic in the courtroom. He favors clear preparation and direct communication with clients. He maintains a private practice in Ventura County, handling litigation and related legal work. His current practice focuses on civil litigation and representation in state and federal courts.
