About Gregory F.
Gregory F. Dorrington earned his law degree from Vermont Law School in 2007 after completing a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Gonzaga University in 2003. His academic path combined liberal arts inquiry with professional legal training. The mix of philosophy and law shaped a methodical approach to analysis and argument.
Early in his career he established a broad regional practice. He is admitted to practice in North Dakota, Colorado, Alaska, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana, and he holds admission to the Ninth Circuit. Those credentials allow him to appear in state courts across much of the Mountain West and to pursue appellate matters in federal court.
His practice has involved both trial-level work and appellate advocacy. That range requires shifting between fact-intensive litigation and legal questions of broader consequence. He has worked on matters that required coordinating filings and strategy across multiple jurisdictions. He also maintains memberships in professional associations and remains active in bar-related activities.
At Crowley Fleck PLLP he is part of a team that serves clients on matters spanning state lines. He brings courtroom experience in state and federal forums and handles appeals where the Ninth Circuit is the appropriate venue. His work often involves procedural and substantive issues that vary by state, so he combines local rules knowledge with an ability to manage filings in several courts.
Colleagues describe him as practical in the courtroom and attentive in preparation. He pursues careful legal research and clear written advocacy. That style suits cases that move between trial and appellate levels and often require coordination with counsel licensed in other states.
Outside of litigation, he participates in association activities and professional networks. Those connections help sustain a practice that operates across a wide geography and requires up-to-date knowledge of evolving case law and procedural rules.
He currently practices at Crowley Fleck PLLP, where his work centers on multi-jurisdictional matters across the listed states and in the Ninth Circuit.
