About Gregg Scott

Gregg Scott Garrison is an attorney admitted to practice in California, the District of Columbia, New York and Texas. He combines courtroom experience, academic work and clinic leadership in a career that spans several decades. He maintains a private practice based in his firm, Garrison Law Corporation.

His academic path began with a bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism from Texas State University in 1979, followed by a master’s degree in English and Theater from the same school in 1982. He earned a J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1988, and later pursued post‑graduate studies at Pepperdine University School of Law in 2004. That mix of liberal arts and legal study has informed both his teaching and his practice.

After completing law school, he entered private practice and in 1991 founded Garrison Law Corporation. Over the years the firm has provided legal services to clients in multiple states and jurisdictions. His time in private practice runs alongside an interest in legal education and institutional service.

That interest led him into several academic and service roles. In 2000 he served as an adjunct professor at the Southern California Institute of Law. He held the title of Director of Legal Clinic for Law of the Oceans in 2004, and that same year participated on faculty committees for the Institute of Law in Santa Barbara. In 2005 he was listed as an academic liaison for the State Bar of California. Those posts reflect recurring involvement in clinical education and bar‑related work.

Garrison is admitted to four bars, a credential set that allows him to handle matters across state lines and in multiple court systems. His background in both academic settings and private practice gives him familiarity with clinical program management, classroom instruction and litigation practice. He has moved between teaching and practice roles rather than remaining solely in one sector.

Today he continues to operate Garrison Law Corporation. He balances client representation with periodic teaching and service work. His practice spans matters in jurisdictions where he is licensed, and his work includes civil litigation, regulatory matters and transactional matters across those admitted states.
