About Greg

Greg McAllister earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 2008 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science at California Lutheran University in 1996. He arrived in Dallas with formal legal training and a liberal arts background that informs his approach to casework and client contact. The timeline of his education shows a long-standing connection to the region and to the practice of law in Texas.

After law school, McAllister became active in the local bar community. He has held membership in the Dallas Bar Association since 2008 and joined the Texas State Bar in 2011. He is also a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and has been involved with the Dallas Bar Association Home Project committee. Those memberships have kept him engaged with civic and professional projects in the city for many years.

His practice is based at Iacuone McAllister Potter PLLC. At the firm he works alongside colleagues handling matters that require courtroom presence and tactical decision-making. He has maintained a steady involvement in bar committees while practicing, a sign of ongoing engagement with the legal community outside of his firm work.

McAllister has taken on leadership roles in volunteer and bar activities. Since 2012 he has served as co-chair of the DAYL Criminal Bar Involvement Committee. In that role he helps organize events and programming designed to connect newer lawyers with criminal practitioners. He also participates in the Dallas Bar Association Home Project committee, which focuses on access to legal services and community outreach in Dallas.

Peers describe him as someone who balances case preparation with active bar work. He has continued to build experience in Texas courts while contributing time to professional organizations. Those dual tracks — practice and association involvement — have defined much of his career since leaving law school.

McAllister remains licensed in Texas and continues to participate in city and state bar activities. He now practices at Iacuone McAllister Potter PLLC, focusing on criminal defense and court representation.
