About Greg

Greg Maeser has spent decades working in and around the courts that shape law in the Northwest. He earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1983 and has practiced law through periods of change in both state and federal systems. Those credentials underlie a career that has kept him active on appellate dockets and in matters brought by individual claimants.

After completing law school, Maeser built a practice rooted in Idaho. He is admitted to practice in the state and holds admission to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where he was admitted in 1994 and remains eligible to appear. Over the years he has handled matters that required briefing and argument at the appellate level, work that demands a different style of advocacy than trial practice.

Maeser’s professional affiliations reflect a steady interest in claimant-side representation. He is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Claimants Representatives, a national association that connects lawyers who represent injured workers and other claimants. That membership signals an ongoing engagement with peers and developments in that area of law.

Colleagues describe Maeser as someone comfortable in written advocacy and oral argument. He has navigated procedural and substantive issues before federal appellate panels and in state forums. The Ninth Circuit admission in 1994 broadened the range of venues where he can present appeals, and it has informed the kinds of matters he accepts and pursues.

Outside appellate filings, Maeser’s legal work has been grounded in the practical needs of clients who must manage claims, deadlines and administrative processes. He has worked on cases that require close attention to evidentiary records, administrative rulings and statutory interpretation. Those tasks often lead to appeals when parties contest the outcome of lower tribunals.

Throughout his career Maeser has maintained ties to the Idaho legal community. He continues to accept matters that involve state courts and administrative agencies, while remaining available for appeals in the Ninth Circuit. His practice combines courtroom advocacy, appellate briefing and claimant representation.

As of 2026, Maeser remains active in legal practice, holding admission in Idaho and in the Ninth Circuit and maintaining membership in professional claimant-representation circles. His current practice centers on representing claimants and pursuing appeals in state and federal tribunals.
