About Grant
Grant Gerleman earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Iowa in 2009 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville in 2012. He entered the legal profession after law school and moved into trial work early in his career. Those academic years laid the groundwork for a courtroom practice that centers on contested civil matters.
His first role after law school was as a trial lawyer at Laffitte, Abbott, Wingo, Rehfeld, & Holloway, PLLC in 2013. He spent the next several years building trial experience. In 2016 he took on lead trial responsibilities at Ben Abbott & Associates, PLLC. That same year he also worked as a trial lawyer for Turley Law Office. By 2019 he was practicing as a trial lawyer at Scott H. Palmer, P.C. The sequence shows a steady progression into positions that required hands-on courtroom work and case management.
Gerleman is licensed to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas. He is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also board certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Those certifications reflect formal recognition of trial ability in both state and broader civil contexts.
He maintains memberships in several professional organizations. Since 2019 he has held membership in both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He joined the College of the State Bar of Texas in 2018. He is also a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, each since 2016. Earlier, in 2012, he became a member of the Dallas Bar Association. These affiliations connect him to peers and continuing education related to trial practice.
Colleagues and case dockets describe Gerleman as a trial-oriented lawyer who has focused his time at the courthouse. His work history shows repeated roles that involve jury trials, pretrial litigation and oral advocacy. The board certifications underscore that his practice has emphasized civil and personal injury trials rather than transactional work.
He is currently associated with Scott H. Palmer, P.C., where he continues to handle civil trial matters and personal injury cases in Texas and before the Northern District of Texas federal court. He practices primarily in contested trial litigation and related pretrial proceedings.
