About Doug
Doug Goyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas, earning a B.S. in Business Administration in 1994. He went on to receive his J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1997. Those years set the stage for a legal career rooted in both business training and formal legal education.
Before entering the practice of law, Goyen worked as a bodily injury claims adjuster for GEICO beginning in 1989. That position put him inside the insurance process and gave him early exposure to how claims are evaluated and resolved. After law school he began practicing as a personal injury lawyer in 1997 at the Law Office of Doug Goyen. He has practiced in Texas since then.
His professional experience bridges two sides of injury claims. As a former adjuster, he knows how insurers assess liability and damages. As a practicing attorney, he represents individuals who have suffered harm and seeks recovery on their behalf. He has handled bodily injury matters and related disputes, drawing on nearly three decades of work in the field.
Goyen is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas. He is also active in local and state legal organizations. His memberships include the Texas State Bar, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Christian Trial Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect ongoing participation in the legal community in Texas.
Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who combines practical claims experience with courtroom and claims-side knowledge. He keeps his practice within Texas and maintains his bar membership accordingly. He has operated under the name Law Office of Doug Goyen since 1997.
He currently practices at the Law Office of Doug Goyen and represents clients in personal injury matters.
