About Grady A.
Grady A. Moore trained first as a student of the law and then as a courtroom lawyer. He earned a B.A. from Mercer University in 1993 and took his J.D. at Vanderbilt University Law School, graduating in 1996. Those years set the groundwork for a career spent largely in public offices and later in private practice.
Moore began his legal career in 1996 at the District Lawyer General's Office in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent the early years of his career learning office procedure, courtroom routine and case preparation. In 2001 he moved into private practice as an associate at Wiles & Wiles. That stint was brief but gave him a view of the different demands that private clients place on lawyers compared with public service.
In 2002 Moore returned to Georgia, joining the District Lawyer's Office in Cedartown as an assistant. A year later he advanced to Senior Assistant District Lawyer in Cobb County, a post he held beginning in 2003. Those roles involved day-to-day courtroom responsibilities, handling hearings and participating in trials. Over time he built practical familiarity with local courts and the rhythms of case management.
In 2014 he started Moore Legal, LLC and has run the practice since then. Founding his own firm followed a decade of mixed public and private experience. At Moore Legal he has overseen case intake, managed litigation calendars and supervised legal strategy for clients. The firm’s work reflects the accumulation of years spent inside courthouse corridors and in office meetings with clients and opposing counsel.
Outside the day-to-day of litigation, Moore has been active in professional and civic groups. He joined the Tennessee Bar Association in 1996 and remained a member there through 2004. He became a member of the State Bar of Georgia in 2002 and has maintained that affiliation. Locally, he has been a member of the Cobb County Bar Association since 2014. Since 2015 he also holds memberships in the Marietta Business Association and the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Cobb Advisory Board.
Colleagues and clients will note a straightforward, practice-oriented approach in his work. He combines the procedural habits learned in public office with the demands of running a small firm. He currently practices through Moore Legal, LLC, handling litigation and trial matters that draw on his years of courtroom experience.
