About Giulia

Giulia McQuirter earned her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2023 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at Mississippi State University in 2020. Her academic path combined classroom study with practical exposure to courtroom procedure and legal research. The sequence of degrees gave her a clear route into practice in Mississippi.

McQuirter began gaining hands-on experience while still in law school. In 2022 she served as a law clerk at Vic Carmody Jr., P.A., where she worked on drafting pleadings, assisting with discovery, and observing client interviews. That internship-style role transitioned quickly into post-graduate positions. In 2023 she took a role as a public defender in Madison County Youth Court, representing young clients in juvenile matters and appearing at hearings to argue for clients’ interests.

Later in 2023 she returned to Vic Carmody Jr., P.A. as an associate. The move reunited her with attorneys she had worked alongside as a law clerk. As an associate she has handled client intake, prepared motions, and supported trial preparation. Her time in youth court exposed her to the procedural and practical aspects of representing minors, and the associate role broadened that exposure to a wider range of client matters handled at the firm.

Colleagues describe her as methodical and attentive to factual detail. She has applied courtroom experience from the youth court to tasks such as witness preparation and the drafting of court submissions. Outside of hearings she has focused on legal research and written analysis, producing memoranda that assist lead counsel in trial strategy. The mix of courtroom time and office work has shaped a practice style that values clear communication and thorough preparation.

McQuirter maintains membership in The Mississippi Bar and practices under the jurisdiction of Mississippi. She divides her time between client work at Vic Carmody Jr., P.A. and matters arising from her prior youth court work. She currently practices at Vic Carmody Jr., P.A., and her work includes representation in youth court matters and related client representation in Mississippi.
