About Giles Russell Stone

Giles Russell Stone Jr. trained as a psychologist before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1986 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Richmond in 1989. Those two degrees shape how he approaches legal problems: an eye for human behavior paired with formal legal training.

He has practiced in Virginia since finishing law school. Over more than three decades at the bar, Stone has built a practice rooted in state-level matters. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and has worked in both courtroom and non-trial settings. Colleagues describe him as steady under pressure and deliberate in preparation.

Stone’s work has covered litigation, client counseling and negotiation. He has taken cases through motion practice and trials and has also advised clients on compliance and transactional issues. His background in psychology informs how he prepares witnesses and evaluates evidence. He aims for clarity in legal writing and prefers straightforward explanations when advising clients and negotiating settlements.

Today he practices at Airington, Stone and Rockecharlie, PLLC. He remains based in Virginia and continues to appear before state courts and administrative bodies. His current practice concentrates on matters before Virginia courts and administrative forums.
