About Gilbert J
Gilbert J Alba studied law at the University of Florida, earning his J.D. in 2003. He entered the Florida legal community soon after and built a practice that centers on courtroom work and litigation in state courts.
Early in his career Alba became active in bar and trial organizations. He holds memberships in the American Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Section. He is also a member of The American Association for Justice and the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Those affiliations placed him in regular contact with other trial attorneys across the state and nation.
In 2011 he served as president of the Law Office of Alba & Dubose P.A., a role that combined casework with firm leadership and local bar involvement. That year marked a visible moment in his practice, one that included administrative responsibilities as well as client representation. Over time his practice evolved and he moved into a new firm setting.
Alba later practiced at Alba & Straile PLLC, where he continued to appear in Florida courts. He maintains ties to statewide professional groups and remains active in the Florida Justice Association. The combination of local and statewide memberships has kept him current on changes to rules of procedure and trial practice in Florida.
Colleagues describe him as steady at trial and deliberate in preparation. He tends to approach cases with attention to evidence and witness presentation, and he prepares cases as though they will be litigated rather than settled. That posture reflects the training and peer work he pursued through bar sections and trial organizations.
Today he continues to practice in Florida. His work at Alba & Straile PLLC centers on trial and litigation matters in the Florida courts.
