Gerald Saul Schwab Jr. is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Schwab is the founder of the Law Office of Gerald Schwab Jr., a law firm located at 5588 N. Palm Avenue, Fresno, CA 93704. He has been practicing law for over 22 years, serving clients throughout the Fresno area and surrounding regions.
Mr. Schwab earned his Juris Doctor degree from the San Joaquin College of Law in 2000. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Fresno, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology in 1993. During his time at San Joaquin College of Law, he was recognized as a Best Oral Advocate Finalist in 2003.
Mr. Schwab concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury law. He represents individuals in matters involving criminal charges, including drug offenses, theft, and violent crimes, as well as personal injury cases such as auto accidents and premises liability claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Schwab has handled over 50 felony trials, defending cases ranging from petty theft to double murder. He has appeared before the Superior Court of California for the County of Fresno and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a Deputy District Attorney at the Merced County District Attorney’s Office and served as an adjunct Criminal Justice Instructor at Fresno City College.
Mr. Schwab is an active member of the California State Bar Association and the Fresno County Bar Association. He holds membership in the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers and the San Joaquin College of Law Alumni Association. He has been recognized with the Top 100 Award by the National Trial Lawyers in 2014 and received a Superior Rating from the National Advocacy for DUI Defense in the same year. Mr. Schwab is fluent in English and serves the diverse communities of Fresno County effectively.
