About Geoff
Geoff Morris studied communications at the University of Southern California before turning to law. He completed legal studies at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and earned a J.D. in 1991. Those academic years set the stage for a long career in courtrooms and legal halls across the region.
He began practicing soon after law school. Over time he built experience in matters that reached beyond trial courts. His work has taken him into appellate settings and federal venues. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the courtroom and thorough in preparation. He tends to keep arguments rooted in evidence and precedent rather than theory.
Morris is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit. He has also maintained professional membership since 1991. That continuity of membership reflects steady involvement in the bar community and ongoing engagement with legal developments. It has placed him in professional circles where appellate procedure and federal filings are regular topics of discussion.
His litigation experience includes appearances in federal appellate matters. He prepares briefs, argues appeals and handles procedural aspects of appellate dockets. The Ninth Circuit admission means he is familiar with circuit-level standards, deadlines and briefing conventions. He has worked on cases that required close attention to both factual records and the law as it applies on appeal.
Morris operates out of offices in Riverside and Orange County. He divides his time between the two locations, meeting clients and attending court as required. The dual-office setup gives him a presence in different parts of the region and allows him to respond to matters that arise in both inland and coastal courts. He organizes files and schedules to stay responsive to court calendars and client needs.
After more than three decades in practice, he remains an active participant in appellate work and federal proceedings. He balances written advocacy with oral argument and coordinates filings across jurisdictions when cases demand it. He currently practices from offices in Riverside and Orange County and appears in matters before the Ninth Circuit.
