About Gavin T.
Gavin T. Elliot built a legal path that crosses state lines and national borders. He began in Florida, earned a B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Florida in 1998 and completed his law degree at the University of Miami School of Law in 2001. Those years set the stage for a career that combines transactional work, regulatory navigation, and courtroom admissions.
Early in his career Elliot expanded his reach beyond Florida. He holds admission in Washington, D.C., and is qualified to practice in England and Wales. He is also admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. A membership in the Bar for the District of Columbia dates from 2013 onward, and he maintains memberships in The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section and the American Bar Association.
In 2010 he took on the role of managing lawyer at The Elliot Legal Group, P.A. He oversees day-to-day operations across the firm’s South Florida offices, including locations in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. That position placed him at the center of client-facing work and firm administration. It also meant guiding associates and coordinating multi-jurisdictional matters handled by the firm.
Elliot’s professional affiliations extend beyond bar organizations. He serves as an agent for the Lawyers Title Insurance Fund. He is a member of The Law Society of England and Wales, and he holds membership in Mensa. These ties reflect a mix of technical, professional and intellectual interests that inform how he approaches legal problems.
Colleagues describe him as someone who balances practice management with active participation in legal organizations. He has worked in transactional settings and handled filings in federal courts. His work requires attention to regulatory detail, coordination across jurisdictions and handling document-intensive matters common to business and title practice.
Outside the office he keeps connections to legal communities both in the United States and abroad. He continues to participate in the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar and in national bar activities. He handles client matters from the firm’s Miami and Fort Lauderdale locations and manages the legal team that serves those practices. He currently concentrates his practice on business and title-related matters.
