Gary M. Borofsky is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1971. His license is currently in active status. He has been practicing law for over 54 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Borofsky earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law in 1970. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at UCLA, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1966, followed by a Master of Science degree in Accounting in 1967. During his time at UCLA, he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society recognizing academic excellence in business studies.
Mr. Borofsky concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning, and wealth planning. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving trusts, estates, and tax planning. His practice encompasses all stages of legal work, including initial case evaluation, negotiations, and the preparation of legal documents. He is a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law, as recognized by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
Throughout his career, Mr. Borofsky has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Tax Court. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Weinstock Manion, he worked as an associate at a mid-size law firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Borofsky is an active member of the American Bar Association, where he participates in the Sections on Taxation and Business Law. He is also a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, serving on the Committees on Probate and Trust Law and Taxation, and has chaired the Law Practice Management Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, engaging with the Sections on Taxation and Business Law. He is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
