About Garren

Garren Pedemonte earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oregon in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2009. He moved from a university setting to law school in a straight line, finishing his legal studies the year he gained admission to the bar. His academic record provided a foundation in government and legal procedure that carried into his early work as a public defender.

After law school he joined Southern Oregon Public Defenders, Inc. in 2009. He spent his early years there representing clients in criminal matters, learning courtroom procedure and trial work under the pressures common to public defense practice. The caseload was steady, the hours long, and the experience practical. Those years shaped his approach to case preparation and client contact.

In 2013 he opened his own firm and became the managing partner of The Law Office of Garren Pedemonte, PC. Running a small firm required shifting from casework alone to administrative responsibilities, supervising staff, and handling the business side of a legal practice. He maintained a hands-on role with clients while overseeing the firm’s daily operations.

His bar and association memberships reflect a professional life rooted in Oregon. He has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 2009 and belongs to the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Locally, Pedemonte has been involved with the Jackson County Bar Association since 2011 and was a member of the Josephine County Bar Association from 2009 to 2011. He joined the Oregon Inns of Court as an associate in 2013 and has served on the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s education committee since 2013, a role that involves organizing training and educational offerings for defense practitioners.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the courtroom and deliberate in preparing cases. His background in public defense gave him extensive trial exposure early in his career. That experience informs how he evaluates evidence, prepares witness examinations, and counsels clients on plea options and trial risks.

He continues to practice in Oregon and manages his firm’s caseload and operations while remaining active in bar associations and local legal organizations. He maintains a practice handling criminal defense matters in Oregon.
