About Galit
Galit Moskowitz built her legal foundation at Rutgers University, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in 1998, studying administration of justice, psychology and Hebraic studies. She earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2003. Those academic years set the stage for a steady career in the courts of New Jersey and New York.
She entered practice in 2003 at Lesnevich & Marzano, Lesnevich, LLC. Early courtroom exposure and hands-on client work shaped her approach to case preparation and negotiation. She handled a range of family law matters and learned the practical contours of litigation and settlement work in the region.
Moskowitz moved into partnership roles later in the decade. In 2009 she became a partner at Laterra, Schultz & Moskowitz, LLC. Two years later she was a partner at Laterra & Moskowitz, LLC. Those years involved managing complex files, mentoring junior lawyers and refining practice systems. She also developed a network across county courts and among family law practitioners in both states.
In 2012 she opened Moskowitz Law Group, LLC. The firm is her long-term base and reflects her decision to run a practice tailored to family and matrimonial matters. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. The Supreme Court of New Jersey has certified her as a Matrimonial Law Lawyer, a credential that indicates a focus on family law issues under that court’s standards.
Outside the office she is active in legal and community organizations. She holds memberships in the New Jersey State Bar and the New York State Bar. She participates in the Bergen County Bar Foundation and in professional networks such as Israeli Women Doing Business in Bergen. She also serves on the advisory board of the Jewish Law Symposium. Those roles keep her connected to developments in local practice and to peers who handle related issues.
Her day-to-day work centers on matrimonial and family law matters. She advises clients on divorce-related concerns, child custody and support questions, and negotiations that accompany asset division. She represents clients in court when litigation is necessary and pursues negotiated resolutions when possible.
Moskowitz now runs Moskowitz Law Group, LLC, where she concentrates on matrimonial and family law matters.
