About Gabriel F

Gabriel F Zambrano took a circuitous route into law. He left the University of Miami in 1986 with undergraduate degrees in history, English literature and philosophy. Four years later he earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Those formative years shaped how he approaches facts and argument. He tends to look for context as much as precedent.

After law school he returned to Florida and began building a practice in a state where the courts and statutes move fast. Early work included civil litigation matters, where he learned case management and courtroom procedure. Over time he expanded his practice and took on increasingly complex files. Colleagues say he is methodical in preparing a case and pragmatic in settling disputes.

His career has been tied to Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath, where he has served as part of the firm’s team handling insurance defense and civil litigation. At the firm he has worked on claims arising from personal injury, property damage and first-party insurance disputes. The work requires careful review of policy language, prompt handling of discovery and a steady approach in depositions and hearings. He has litigated in state trial courts across Florida and appeared in administrative settings when insurance regulations were at issue.

Clients and other lawyers describe his courtroom manner as reserved. He prefers to let documents and testimony do the talking. At the same time he pays attention to the smaller details that can sway juries or shape a judge’s ruling. He is comfortable both drafting dispositive motions and negotiating resolutions outside the courtroom. The job blends research, advocacy and case management. That balance appears to fit his background in both the humanities and law.

Outside litigation he spends time mentoring younger lawyers at the firm. He reviews briefs, offers tactical suggestions and coaches on deposition techniques. He also follows changes in Florida insurance law closely. Those developments affect how cases are evaluated and what arguments are likely to succeed in court.

Today he continues his work at Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath in Florida. His practice centers on insurance defense and related civil litigation matters.
