Fred J. Lewis earned his law degree from the University of Idaho in 1988 after completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Utah in 1985. His academic path combined regional ties and a quick transition into practice. Those early years set the stage for a long legal career centered in Idaho.
Soon after finishing law school, Lewis joined Racine Olson. He became a partner at the firm in 1988 and has been associated with the firm for decades. His tenure there spans routine office work, courtroom appearances and the steady demands of firm leadership. Colleagues describe him as an experienced presence in the firm’s roster.
Lewis is licensed to practice in Idaho and holds active professional memberships. He belongs to the Idaho State Bar and maintains current membership in the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and the Sixth Judicial Bar Association. Those memberships place him in circles that handle litigation and the practicalities of trial practice in the state’s courts.
Over the years Lewis’s work has centered on litigation handled out of Racine Olson’s offices. He has managed cases through pleadings, discovery and trial proceedings, and he is familiar with local rules and procedural requirements across Idaho’s trial courts. His daily practice involves preparing matters for court and representing clients at hearings and trials when necessary. He also engages in case strategy and the negotiation phases that often accompany contested matters.
