About Frank
Frank Fernandez took a traditional path into law and into the courtroom. He earned a B.A. in psychology from Boston College in 1990 and a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1993. Those years set the stage for a career that moves between public service and private practice.
Fresh out of law school he returned to Missouri. In 1993 he served as an assistant circuit lawyer prosecutor for the City of St. Louis. That role put him in regular contact with judges, police and the practical realities of trial work. He handled the day-to-day demands of prosecution and learned how to manage a heavy caseload under tight deadlines.
By 1998 Fernandez shifted back into private practice as an assistant lawyer at Devereaux, Stokes & Nolan. That position broadened his exposure to civil matters and client counseling. He spent time counseling clients, drafting pleadings, and appearing in state court. The move added a different set of courtroom skills to his prosecutorial background.
In 2002 he took on two roles that would define the next phase of his career. He joined Denner & Associates, L.L.P. as of counsel, while also opening his own firm, the Law Office of Frank Fernandez, Esq. Balancing a firm and an of-counsel role meant handling a diverse docket. He continued to appear in trials and argued matters in state and federal court.
Fernandez is admitted in several jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, Missouri and Illinois. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and to the First Circuit. That range of admissions reflects work that spans both state and federal systems.
He maintains memberships in regional bar organizations, including the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts State Bar. Those memberships indicate ongoing ties to the local legal community and to professional networks across the state.
The arc of Fernandez’s career shows steady movement between public-sector courtroom work and private practice responsibilities. He brings trial experience from his early years as a prosecutor and later civil and federal experience from his time in private practice. He operates the Law Office of Frank Fernandez, Esq., where he continues to manage a varied caseload. His current practice focuses on matters in state and federal courts across the jurisdictions where he is admitted.
