About Frank Farshin

Frank Farshin Rahmani is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1998. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Rahmani is a partner at Sidley Austin LLP, a global law firm with offices in Palo Alto and San Francisco, California. He has been practicing law for over 27 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Mr. Rahmani earned his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1997. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Santa Clara University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business in 1994. During his time at Santa Clara University School of Law, he was recognized on the Dean's List for his academic achievements.

Mr. Rahmani concentrates his practice in the areas of business and corporate law, intellectual property, and securities law. He represents emerging growth and public companies in the life sciences and technology industries, advising on matters such as mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, public offerings, governance, strategic collaborations, and technology acquisition and licensing. Throughout his career, Mr. Rahmani has handled numerous high-profile cases and transactions. He has represented clients in over 500 financings and securities offerings, ranging from venture financings to underwritten public offerings, and over 100 strategic partnering, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions. He has appeared before various courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the California Superior Court. Prior to joining Sidley Austin LLP, he was a partner at Cooley LLP, where he focused on similar practice areas.

Mr. Rahmani is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He has been recognized in the Chambers USA Guide, where he was ranked in Band 3 for Life Sciences: Corporate/Commercial in California. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Silicon Valley Bar Association. Mr. Rahmani is fluent in English and Persian, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
