About Frank
Frank Botta combines decades of legal training with long involvement in transportation law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Washington & Jefferson College and completed his law degree at Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1985. Those academic years set the stage for a career split between in-house roles and private practice.
He moved into the professional world at a time when legal departments were expanding their reach. Over the years Botta has served as vice president and general counsel for Samuels and Sons Seafood and as managing partner of Premier Sports Group, LLP beginning in 2000. He also spent time in larger firm settings, including membership at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott. In 2017 he took on the role of chair of the Transportation Practice Group at The Lynch Law Group, LLC.
Botta is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. He holds memberships in the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Ohio State Bar, and he belongs to the American Bar Association. He is a certified arbitrator and mediator through the American Arbitration Association, a credential that has figured in his work resolving commercial and transportation disputes outside of court.
Much of Botta’s public profile has been tied to transportation law. He served as president of the Transportation Lawyers Association for the 2017–2018 term and was listed on the association’s leadership roster during that period. He also served on the board of the Canadian Transportation Lawyers’ Association from 2018 to 2019. Those roles reflect a long engagement with the legal and regulatory issues that affect carriers, shippers and insurers.
Colleagues describe Botta as a practitioner who moves easily between litigation, dispute resolution and corporate legal work. His background includes counseling corporate clients on contract and regulatory matters, handling arbitration and mediation matters, and stepping into managerial legal roles inside companies. The variety of settings — from in-house counsel to firm leadership — has kept his practice broad while centering on transport-related matters.
He continues to work from The Lynch Law Group, LLC and remains active in professional organizations tied to transportation and alternative dispute resolution. He currently practices at The Lynch Law Group, LLC, handling transportation law and related commercial disputes.
