About Francis

Francis Springer built a career by moving from patrol beats to the courtroom. He began in law enforcement and later earned a law degree. The path was practical and steady. It gave him two perspectives on public safety and the justice system.

Springer graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996. He returned to school for graduate study and received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. He completed his legal education at Mississippi College School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 2011. His academic record shows a sustained interest in the institutions that govern crime and punishment.

Early in his working life he served at the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department. Records list him as Patrol Commander in 1996. That role placed him on the operational side of policing, supervising patrol activities and responding to community incidents. The experience exposed him to the practical challenges that officers and citizens confront on the street.

After law school he entered private practice. He became a member of the Mississippi Bar in 2011 and holds membership that is current as of 2026. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Since 2011 he has been listed as the owner and lawyer of Springer Law Office PLLC. Running a small firm has required him to manage both legal work and the business side of practice.

Springer’s background combines formal study in criminal justice, hands-on policing experience, and courtroom practice. That mix informs how he approaches cases. He understands investigative procedure and the demands of litigation. He represents clients in matters filed in Mississippi and in proceedings before the Fifth Circuit, and he draws on prior service when assessing evidence and preparing for hearings.

At his office on 213 S. Lamar Street he handles matters that arise in state and federal settings. The office maintains a separate mailing address for correspondence. He continues to practice law in Mississippi, appearing in trial courts and on appeal when cases require it.

He currently practices as the owner and lawyer at Springer Law Office PLLC, handling matters in Mississippi and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
