About Francesca

Francesca Blackard studied political science at DePaul University before earning her law degree from New York Law School. She arrived in law school with an interest in how public policy and private dispute resolution intersect. The education she received in Chicago and New York shaped an approach that balances courtroom readiness with an awareness of negotiation dynamics.

After law school she established herself in Texas. She joined McClure Law Group and rose through the firm’s ranks. In 2012 she became a managing partner at McClure Law Group, taking on both case responsibilities and firm management duties. That role expanded her responsibilities beyond client work to include supervising staff, shaping firm processes, and helping set strategic priorities.

Her practice is rooted in family law and the negotiations that often accompany domestic disputes. She is an active member of the Family Law Negotiations Circle, a group that brings practitioners together to discuss bargaining strategies, mediation practice, and settlement frameworks. That membership signals an emphasis on negotiated resolutions as well as preparedness for contested hearings. She also maintains membership in the Texas State Bar and participates in programs offered through the National Society for Collegiate Scholars, reflecting ongoing ties to professional and academic communities.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and measured in settlement talks. She approaches each matter by identifying practical options for clients and plotting a course that reflects the client’s priorities. Her work for clients spans the routine and the complex — from custody and support matters to asset division and post-judgment enforcement. She handles negotiations, mediations, and litigation when necessary.

As managing partner at McClure Law Group, she continues to balance administrative duties with an active caseload. The firm lists her among its leadership and she remains based in Texas. In practice she combines courtroom experience and negotiation technique to resolve family law disputes and to represent clients across related matters.

Her current practice concentrates on family law matters in Texas where she represents clients in both negotiated and litigated proceedings.
