About Evelyn
Evelyn Suero earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2006. She came through a law program known for its demanding curriculum and left prepared for a practice in Florida. Her academic background set the stage for steady work in litigation and client counseling.
She began her post-graduate career at Dorot & Bensimon PL, joining the firm as an associate lawyer in 2012. That role placed her in a small-firm environment where she handled a mix of civil matters and gained courtroom experience. In 2014 she moved to Fuerst Ittleman David Joseph PL as an associate, taking on more complex files and broadening her exposure to regional practice issues. Those years built a practical toolkit: motion practice, discovery management and client advising.
In 2016 Suero opened Suero Law, PLLC and has served as lawyer and principal since. Leading her own practice shifted her responsibilities. She oversees case strategy, manages client intake and handles litigation work. Running a firm also involves administrative decisions and the development of professional relationships across Miami-Dade County.
Outside of casework she maintains active involvement in bar and community groups. She holds a director seat on the Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers board and serves as vice chair on the Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board. She is on the board of the Organization of Women in International Trade and chairs one of its committees. Suero is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association and the American Bar Association committee structure. At the national level she participates in the Hispanic National Bar Association and has been appointed to its Latina Commission. Those positions reflect a steady engagement with professional governance, advocacy projects and outreach efforts in the local legal community.
Colleagues describe her approach as straightforward and case-focused. She balances courtroom preparation with attention to procedural detail. She maintains an active practice in Florida and draws on her years in both small and mid-size firms to counsel clients and manage litigation. Suero continues to direct Suero Law, PLLC while participating in local and national bar activities, and she concentrates her current practice on litigation and client representation in matters filed in Florida courts.
