About Evan E.

Evan E. Knupp began his path to law in Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001. Five years later he completed his Juris Doctor at Marquette University Law School in 2006. Those formative years set the stage for a career spent mainly in private practice and courtroom work.

After law school Knupp entered private practice and steadily took on greater responsibility. He became a partner at Seifert & Knupp in 2010. Two years later he joined Roney & Knupp, LLC as a partner, a position he continues to hold. His progression from associate roles to partnership reflects a steady professional climb rather than a series of headline-making moves.

Knupp is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, in the Federal Circuit, and in Illinois. He has held active membership in the State Bar of Wisconsin since 2009 and in the Milwaukee Bar Association since 2010. Those memberships have kept him connected to local and statewide legal communities and to the continuing education that private practice requires.

Colleagues describe him as someone who prefers direct work over self-promotion. He spends time in court and in client meetings rather than in publicity. That approach is consistent across his recorded roles. As a partner at two small firms, he has taken both managerial duties and client-facing work. He has handled filings in state courts and matters that required federal admissions, including work before the Federal Circuit.

Knupp’s career shows a lawyer rooted in his regional legal network. He maintains ties to Milwaukee and to broader Wisconsin practice, while also holding the credentials to bring cases or appeals that cross state lines. His record of bar membership and firm leadership positions points to steady involvement rather than fleeting commitments.

Outside of casework, he remains engaged with the professional associations that serve Wisconsin lawyers. Those ties supply a backdrop to the daily business of counseling clients and litigating disputes. Today he is a partner at Roney & Knupp, LLC, where he handles matters in Wisconsin and federal courts and manages client representation across the jurisdictions in which he is admitted.
