Eugene Paul Hanrahan is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Hanrahan is a partner at Sitkoff & Hanrahan, LLP, a law firm located in Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over 29 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Mr. Hanrahan earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, graduating cum laude. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. During his time at the University of San Francisco, he was recognized for his academic achievements and commitment to the legal profession.
Mr. Hanrahan concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, including DUI crimes, drug offenses, sex crimes, theft and property crimes, and violent crimes. He represents individuals in all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. His extensive experience allows him to effectively advocate for his clients in complex legal matters.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hanrahan has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He has also appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County for 21 years, where he successfully tried numerous cases to verdict, including murder, domestic and sexual violence, and major fraud.
Mr. Hanrahan is an active member of the California Lawyers Association and holds membership in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Santa Monica Bar Association. Mr. Hanrahan is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
