About Erin Kathleen
Erin Kathleen Morris built her legal foundation in the Pacific Northwest. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of San Francisco in 2007 and completed her J.D. at Willamette University College of Law in 2012 after beginning law school in 2009.
Her early years in practice traced a steady path through several firm roles. She began as an associate at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in 2012. In 2014 she joined Brittle & Brittle PC as an associate. Two years later she moved to Gearing, Rackner & McGrath, again serving as an associate attorney. In 2018 she worked at Elizabeth Christy Law Office PLLC, and in 2020 she became a partner at Morris, Stannard & Batalden Family Law PC. In 2024 she opened Morris Family Law LLC as a founding partner and continues to lead that practice.
Her license to practice covers both Oregon and Washington. That regional reach is reflected in memberships across local and state bar groups. She has been a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association since 2015 and joined the Oregon Association of Family Law Practitioners in 2017. She holds memberships in several county bar associations, including Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington County Bar Associations since 2013, and Clark County Bar Association since 2018. Since 2021 she has served on the Multnomah Bar Association board responsible for Continuing Legal Education programming.
Over the course of more than a decade in practice, Morris has worked on matters that are common to family law practice. Her career has included courtroom appearances, negotiated settlements and work alongside other attorneys on complex family law issues. Colleagues and clients have seen her handle divorce proceedings, child custody and support questions, and disputes over property division. Her involvement in professional groups suggests an interest in staying current on trial practice and family law developments.
Her move into firm leadership reflects a transition from associate and partner roles to managing a small practice. At Morris Family Law LLC she oversees case strategy and client communication, and she continues to participate in continuing legal education efforts through the Multnomah Bar Association. She remains active in bar activities across the region and maintains licenses in both states.
She now leads Morris Family Law LLC. Her practice concentrates on family law matters such as divorce, custody, child support and property division.
