In 1991, Erik earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law. This academic foundation was complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Diego State University. His background as a Certified Public Accountant allows him to structure complex business transactions effectively.

During his tenure there, he worked closely with Fortune 500 companies, advising them on business law, mergers and acquisitions, and tax matters. His experience as a senior tax manager at Ernst & Young further enriched his understanding of federal, state, and international tax issues. This diverse background equips him with the knowledge necessary to handle the requirements of business law.
