About Erik J.
Erik J. Krueger grew up studying politics and markets. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2006, and later returned to the law three years at a time. He completed his juris doctor at Liberty University School of Law in 2013.
His law school years included courtroom exposure and appellate work. In 2013 he interned with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and spent time at the Virginia Court of Appeals. Those placements gave him a view of different appellate processes and the pace of high-level judicial decision-making.
Shortly after law school he took a role in public service. In 2013 he served as a special prosecutor in the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office. That position involved handling discrete prosecutions and working with county law enforcement on case preparation. The role was an early opportunity to practice in front of Wisconsin trial courts and to learn trial procedure from the prosecutorial side.
Krueger has remained connected to the local legal community. He is a member of the Waukesha County Bar Association and maintains ties to colleagues in county practice and litigation. That association involvement keeps him plugged into continuing education and local court developments.
He later moved into private practice and now works at the Law Offices of Mark S. Knutson, S.C. His career path shows experience on both sides of the courtroom. He has practical exposure to appellate work and trial-level prosecutions, and he brings that background to daily client matters.
Colleagues describe him as methodical about case preparation and comfortable in courtroom settings. He draws on both his undergraduate study in political science and economics and his legal training to evaluate cases and advise clients on process and possible outcomes.
Krueger’s public roles and internships early in his career helped form a practical approach to litigation and court procedure. He continues to participate in the Waukesha County bar community and to apply his experience in Wisconsin courts. He practices at the Law Offices of Mark S. Knutson, S.C., handling legal matters in Wisconsin.
