About Eric
Eric Valente combines legal training and business experience in a practice centered on planning and disputes that touch family and commerce. He earned both a Juris Doctor and an MBA from the University of Toledo, completing his MBA in 2009 and his J.D. in 2011. That dual education has shaped how he approaches client problems — he reads transactional detail and looks for practical solutions that fit a client’s financial picture.
After law school he joined J.W. Krueger & Associates as an associate lawyer in 2011. There he handled matters that brought him into contact with estate and business issues. The early years at a smaller firm gave him a chance to manage files from intake through resolution and to develop a hands-on approach to client counseling and document drafting.
In 2015 he launched Valente Law, LLC and has been a founding member and practicing lawyer since. Building a solo and small-firm practice meant taking on roles beyond casework: business administration, client development and office management became part of the day-to-day. Opening the Brecksville office allowed him to serve local clients who needed help with wills, trusts, probate proceedings and business matters.
His practice draws on both law and business. He prepares estate planning documents, guides families through probate, and assists business owners with formation and governance questions. Because he holds an MBA in addition to his law degree, he often addresses the financial and structural aspects of client issues rather than treating legal documents in isolation. That perspective informs client meetings, negotiations and the drafting of agreements and estate plans.
Valente maintains ties to professional organizations and local networks that keep him engaged with peers and referral sources. He has continued to refine office procedures and client intake systems over the years, aiming to keep work efficient and transparent. Clients who seek a small-firm environment find a consistent point of contact and a practitioner familiar with both legal detail and the business side of planning.
He practices from Valente Law, LLC’s Brecksville office, where he handles estate planning, probate and business law matters. He currently concentrates his practice on estate planning, probate administration and legal services for small business owners.
