About Eric
Eric Swartz earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2001. He completed his legal education after several years of study, leaving law school prepared to begin a career in private practice. His academic record and the timing of his graduation placed him among peers entering the profession in the early 2000s.
He began his professional career at Blackburn & Jones LLP in 2002. At Blackburn & Jones he worked as a lawyer, handling matters that the firm assigned to him and gaining steady courtroom and transactional experience. Those early years shaped his approach to client work and provided regular exposure to the demands of private practice in a regional setting.
In 2007 he became a member of Jones & Swartz PLLC. That step marked a change from being an associate to taking on ownership responsibilities. As a member he balanced client representation with internal firm matters. His record indicates continuous practice in Idaho, where he maintains his professional standing and conducts the bulk of his work.
Over time Swartz has developed a practical bedside manner and a methodical approach to case preparation. He is practiced at managing files, guiding clients through procedural steps, and addressing procedural hurdles that arise in litigation. Colleagues describe him as steady and focused in day-to-day practice. He has spent much of his career in firm environments, where collaboration and firm governance are part of the professional routine.
Today he practices under the Jones & Swartz PLLC name, operating out of offices in Idaho. His work continues to center on representing clients in matters that come before state tribunals and in negotiations outside court. He remains based in Idaho and handles matters that arise in that jurisdiction, carrying forward the practice he established after leaving his first firm. His current practice focuses on representing clients and managing matters within Idaho.
